For the longest time...

Man, it's been a long time since i've updated this blog. I'm starting to get the hang of it though so hopefully it will be more frequent that I get on here. Life has been hectic for our family in the last few months but it's been fun. Aaron is finishing up his first year of nursing school and in just two weeks we get the whole summer to ourselves! We're planning on making the most of it too.

Over the last few months, we were able to go back to Washington to visit my family for Christmas. It was SO much fun to be able to see everyone there again as they weren't able to come for our wedding :( We had our plane canceled at first because of the severe storms that both Utah and Washington were having. We ended up flying in really late at night and almost having to stay in the airport and sleep because the roads were so bad. I just happened to run into one of my friends from my old singles ward and her parents were on their way to get her. So, we hitched a ride. Finally, at 4am, we settled down for the night. It was so nice to see my house again and to see everyone. Here are some pictures from Christmas break...

This one is of my Patrick and Jenny and me and Aaron before going downstairs to see what santa claus brought us. We were SO tired and so excited. It was like 4am :) What can I say, we still get excited about that.

Aaron was really excited about what he got in his stocking from Santa. I'm really glad too cause santa barely made it to the store to get stuff for stockings with all the snow that was there. I got a really good stocking as well.

We also had our first Halloween somewhere in there too. I decided to be a Fallen, gothic, vampire fairy and Aaron was a Gaucho from Brazil. I came home from work as well and he had made me a surprise Halloween treat and card. It was sitting on our bed. It was Rice Crispy Treats that say I Love You. It was so cute.

Here are some pictures from our honeymoon. We were originally going to go to Palm Springs, CA but since the wreck, we changed it to a resort in Park City. It was SOO much fun. It was the most relaxing time of my life. It was labor day weekend so there was something on main street going on everyday. There were tons of new restaraunts to try and a ski lift that we alone probably funded :)

Okay, so I'm FINALLY trying to get some pictures up on this thing. A little bit at a time...but it's coming a long. All of the other pictures are on Aaron's laptop, which he is using to study something about the uses of a esophogogastroduodentiscope....or something...and yes, that's a real word. You'd think they could shorten that a bit but that's ok. Me remembering it was a feat in itself. Anyway, so here's some pictures of conference weekend that we took. It was SO nice. We had the whole weekend to just play and snuggle and sleep without pretty much doing anything else. It was quite funny actually. I woke up really early on Sunday morning in hopes of surprising Aaron with breakfast in bed. He woke up with me going into the bathroom and quickly realized something was up when I never came back. So about the time the bacon was sizzling, he came down and was like "what the heck are you doing?" anyway, so we ended up making a gourmet breakfast together. I made him go back upstairs when we were done and pretend he was asleep so I could give him breakfast in bed anyway. He then came down and we made pancakes on his "man griddle." It was great.

Two months later....

Well... as all of you already know, the above post didn't exactly happen as we planned. On our way to Washington we ended up getting in a really bad wreck. We rolled the car 5 times around Thanksgiving Point. Needless to say, everything in Washington got cancelled and we had to move everything to Utah. The wedding was postponed about a week. The wedding ended up beautiful except for my family couldn't be there. That was heartbreaking but we're doing well and we're going to visit all of them for 12 days for Christmas!! We got married in the Timpanogos Temple on August 28th and went to Park City on our honeymoon.

After the honeymoon, we arrived back at our house and the next day Aaron started the Nursing program at BYU. I started up at work doing 10 hours a day. Our lives quickly became very busy and stressfull. It's been so fun though. About a month later, I had the opportunity to go with a group from my work to Galvaston, Texas to help with the Hurricane Ike Relief efforts. We were gone for almost a week and it was an amazing experience. Hard work, very smelly but a really good experience. During all of this however, I found out that Aaron had gone to the ER due to being really sick. Turned out his liver and spleen were enflamed and he had mono. I quickly became the plague on the bus on our way home from Texas as everyone thought I had it too. :) Another miracle...Aaron got better within two weeks and I went to the doctor and they said if my symptoms got worse, come back in. They never did so i'm assuming I never got it either. We are becoming quite well known to the hospital staff's in the utah valley :).

Other than that, Aaron and I are doing well. We decorated a little bit for Halloween and are carving pumpkins this weekend. We're loving newly married life and are so excited for the upcoming holidays.

Getting Ready

Well, Aaron and I are almost ready to leave for Washington tomorrow for our wedding. We're both pretty anxious and incredibly excited to begin our family. We finally got all of our cleaning checks out of the way and our new house is covered with all of our stuff...unorganized :) We got our rings the other day from Wilson's in Provo. They both turned out really nice. Other than that...just getting ready to leave for Washington. We get married at 1pm in the Seattle Temple on August 23rd and then the reception is from 7-9 that night. It's been crazy trying to get everything ready. Everyone has been so helpful though. Aaron's family is in town from various parts so it has been fun getting to know them and playing with his neices and nephews. I'm excited to be a part of their family.



Aaron starts nursing school as soon as we get back from our honeymoon in Palm Springs, CA. We went shopping the other day for his equipment. It was really fun to see all the medical tools he has to buy.



I am still working at APX alarm in Provo. It's pretty fun. I have a ton of friends there and since Aaron works there too, we've become kind of the APX couple :) There's lots of people that are counting down the days with us until our wedding so it's fun. I only have 3 terms left of my Psychology degree so i'll hopefully be going to school once the dust settles from the wedding.



Other than that....that's the update right now! Tomorrow we get off work at 2 and then leave for Washington!!!!!!
